I graduated from college almost in May 2014 with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and a concentration in Birth-Kindergarten Education. While in college I worked at a daycare for a few months in the summer. I am currently a Pre-k teacher in a school in Durham. I was a nanny the summer of 2014 for a family of five with two four- year old twin boys and a two year old. I've been working with young children since I was about 13 years old and I love it. I love watching them learn, and grow, and reach new milestones. I love the aspect of learning from the children, I love that every single child is different and challenging myself to meet the child where they are. I don't just watch children I teach them, I play with them, and I explore with them. Teaching is something that I Read more love to do. I surround myself with children constantly whether it be children I work with or children in my family. My family members are more than comfortable leaving their children with me for long periods of time. I love teaching in the school system, but I am looking for a work environment that is more conducive to families as one day I’d like to start my own family.
