My name is Alyssa, I am nineteen years old, and I am a sophomore at UNC Chapel Hill. I enjoy swimming, being outside in the summer, reading, movies, museums, and crafts. I am from Charlotte, but am looking for summer work in Chapel Hill. Throughout high school I babysat for families in my neighborhood. I helped them with homework, helped prepare and served meals, did activities with the kids, and went through their bath and bedtime routines. As a babysitter, I am comfortable doing all of those things - I can cook meals, plan daytime activities, entertain children, help with all kinds of homework (I also worked as a math and reading tutor for K-12 students, as well as being a science student by trade), and follow any type of parental schedule. I have also been driving for several years - I have no traffic violations and consider myself to Read more be a gentle and cautious driver. For the past two summers I worked as a lifeguard at Carowinds' water park. There I spent entire days with children politely, yet firmly enforcing all types of rules. From that job I also gained certifications in infant, child, and adult CPR, choking procedures, and emergency breathing. These certifications have now passed their expiration, but I remember them well and have had lots of practice on these skills. These are skills I believe would be appropriately applicable to a babysitting job.
