All of my professional experience involves working with children in some capacity. I have been fortunate enough to work with children of all different age groups in many different settings. The last position I had was Supervising a Family Resource Center where we ran early childhood programs, as well as provided an array of programming for school aged children. Some of the programs included Pre-School Playgroups, Drama Club, Cooking Classes, After-School Homework Club, and the Parents As Teachers program. My current and most rewarding job yet has been becoming a Mother to a baby boy this past October. I have been staying at home with him and have been enjoying every moment and new milestone he accomplishes. I have always loved working with children and am ready to get back to childcare in a less formal setting. Below are some of my certification/qualifications. Certifications- Certified Parent Educator through Parents As Read more Teachers, which allows me to access hundreds of developmentally appropriate activities for children birth-five. Trained to administer the Ages and Stages Questionnaire- A tool to assess children's development ages birth-5. I have taken courses on Therapeutic Crisis Intervention and have experience working with children who have challenging behaviors.
