Since finishing my degree in Psychology, with a focus on Abnormal Psychology, I have worked as a special education teacher in an elementary school (2 years) and at a non profit as a direct care provider for families in the community with children and young adults with special needs for almost 3 years now. I have hands on experience and learned skills working with both typical and atypical children and young adults in group settings and one on one. As well as experience in nannying for a family with 3 kids, tutoring, job coaching, sports training, behavior plans, life skills, house sitting, and dog sitting. During my experience as a nanny, I completed household tasks like cooking dinner for the family, running errands, and completing some chores around the house. I minored in Spanish and have the basic skills and knowledge to tutor a child in this language as well. Read more I am used to working very closely with parents, families, and teachers to create plans and goals. I am used to traveling and transporting kids. I completed a defensive driving course and am trained in CPR and First Aid. I would prefer to work with a family with kids under the age of 12, but I am open to any ages. I am hoping to find a family I can build an on going relationship with. I hope I am a good match for you!
