I have babysit children since I was 13 yrs old. Went to UNC-Charlotte for Child Psychology and ended up double majoring in that and Child and Family Development. (In the summers I would work at summer camp for a Child Development center as a lead counselor. During the school year I worked part time at a Child Development center.) I student taught in the Pre-k classroom in CMS my senior year of college. After graduating I went to work in a 2yr old classroom at a Child Development Center for a 1 1/2 yrs before getting a job in the Pre-k program with CMS. During my first few years in CMS I went back to UNCC to get my B-K certificate. I always babysit for families at centers I worked at. for several years I was the babysitter/nanny for a affluent family that had 3 children two years apart in Read more year. (Started when they were 4,6,8 yrs of age and continued until the youngest one went to college. Approximately 13 yrs) In June of 2013 I decided to resign from CMS. I began nannying for a friend who had a 1 yr old until returning to teaching in a January of 2014 at a Developmental Day Center with 3-5 yr old children. (Majority of children had special needs) I am BK certified teacher as well as having CPR and First Aid Training
