Hi! My name is Laura and i would like to introduce myself briefly if i may. I’m 25 years old and i’m from New Jersey, the Garden State they say. I am 1 out of 8 siblings in my family and i am the second oldest. With being the second oldest in the family, i did have responsibilities i had to follow. From basic help needed, i helped with my sibling’s homework to preparing dinner and even getting them to and from school on weekdays. Although it seemed like a lot of work, i enjoyed it! As soon as i was at a legal age to work in NJ, i helped babysit my one neighbor’s 3 kids at the time as well as my other neighbors twin. Although that was all fun, i grew up and ventured out of NJ. I’ve actually decided to move to North Carolina because i Read more have visited once for a baby shower and fell in love with the scenery. It was, at the time, much different than NJ and a new environment for me to explore. While here, i picked up on a few jobs which i’ve become very good at and excelled to manager position in most work environment. As much as the fast paced restaurant kept me busy which i loved, it still didn’t excite me as much as when i am around kids, catering meals to and helping out with daily household needs and being out on playgrounds with them. Luckily, my friend heard about a family who needed a short term care for their 6 kids, 12 being the oldest and a 3 month old being the youngest. Since each kid was different in age, i catered the best that i could and made sure all received the attention they needed. They were bathe, fed, and we would play hide and seek and of course we read books before i put them to bed. That was a temporary assignment and it broke my heart that it had to end. I still keep up with the family to see how the kids are doing and offer my help whenever needed. I have many work experiences in my life such as restaurants in a face paced environment to retail as well as my current job now which is a receptionist/staffing but i will say nothing had made me more happier than being around kids who keeps me young and active. I would love nothing more to be able to be a nanny to a family in need and hopefully grow a bond is not just temporary but will last a lifetime. I can have references and i am available when you need me. I am dedicated to my job no matter what type and i rarely get ill, knock on wood, so you can depend on me to be there day and night.
