I retired from teaching in Cabarrus County Schools two years ago. During my teaching career, I taught kindergarten, second, third, and fourth grades, held the position of grade level chair, supervised student teachers and mentored new teachers. The students in my classroom were involved in plays, enjoyed arts and crafts, and many fun learning activities. I have a B.A. from Appalachian State University in Early Childhood and a M.A. in Reading Education. I also have had many experiences working with children in my church as a Sunday School Teacher and Sunday School Superintendent organizing programs, plays, parties, and activities. My CPR certification is not current but I will be willing to update it. I love sports, like to be active and outdoors, enjoy arts and crafts, and have a very special two year old Cockapoo named Cotton.
