Hi! If you are looking for an experienced professional nanny with a zest for life, look no further. From nanny/Au pair to preschool reading teacher, camp counselor and children's yoga instructor; I have been involved in childcare for nearly 15 years and my passion is reflected in my glowing references. I've lived and worked in Atlanta, Philadelphia, Italy, Switzerland, the Netherlands I've run an in home daycare in Durham, NC and am currently working full time with three children. This job will end in the beginning of June or earlier. I am a single mother to a sweet, social 4-year-old daughter who loves to play indoors and out. I am an artist at heart and with my experience as a preschool teacher and camp counselor, I can provide age appropriate art projects and educational games. I am a certified yoga teacher, and I practice both formally and informally throughout the Read more day. My daughter can reliably be found in the downward dog position if there is a yoga mat anywhere to be found. We love to dance, build with blocks and read. We have already found two reliable, flexible part time families to work with and are just looking for a couple more regularly scheduled families. We live right in downtown Durham. Our home is small but a total haven for children. We have so many fun games, toys, art supplies and workbooks. We also live waking distance to downtown and several parks. We have a wagon and a bike trailer. We can ride with the bike trailer on a path from our home to the life and science museum where we are members. We're also happy to come to your home, especially if you live close by. Our home is in the perfect place for a drop off while you catch a show or grab dinner downtown. My hours are very flexible, especially in the evenings. I do not have my daughter with me on Mondays and every other Tuesday if you are looking for one on one care. If you prefer to have a built in playmate, she will be with me all the other days and simply loves our work. I'm hoping to have my schedule planned out soon and I've been interviewing since this last week so I hope to hear from you soon!
