I am a recent college graduate of the College of Charleston in South Carolina. I received my BA in both Communication and Dance. I have been a caregiver for nine years, and it has been an absolute joy to work with children of all ages. I am equally comfortable with children from infancy to young teens, and I strive to create individualized environments to meet the needs of each particular child under my care. For the past three years, I worked at Ecofitness and Blue Turtle Yoga in Charleston where I was a caretaker in their daycare facility. This position made me very comfortable working with multiple children at once, dealing with specific needs that each child may have (i.e. potty training, allergies, learning disabilities), effectively communicating with both children and parents, as well as creating activities that promote healthy play and development. I have experience teaching dance to children ages 3-6; however, I promote physical activity in all forms and find joy interacting with children I care for through exercise (i.e. jump roping, tag, volleyball, etc.). I am comfortable around pets, for I love my own two dogs dearly, and I am happy to complete light housework.
