My name is Victoria, and I am 28 years old. I have been a professional nanny for twelve years. I have experience working with children aged newborn to 12 years with a focus in newborn through 9 years. I have created numerous schedules for new moms, successfully potty trained seven children, managed to accumulate four life long friendships with the women I’ve worked for, and I’ve only been tinkled on twice! I enjoy being a nanny because I get to help nurture, educate, and empower our next generation of adults. I am a firm believer in the fact that a child's nanny, or sitter is a part of the child's family unit. It is important that the nanny be involved and included in most of the child's day to day activities and extracurriculars without displacing the parent. A typical day includes academic activities suitable for the child's age group, outside play and nature based learning, crafts and sensory play that help develop fine motor skills as well as imagination, field trips that enhance the child's understanding of the academic unit we are working on, and so much more! I believe that providing a child with a warm, healthy, balanced meals is an absolute must. I very much enjoy cooking, and love to incorporate some fun educational lessons while working in the kitchen (all activities are age appropriate, of course!). I do not allow much television/electronic use, and prefer tablets are not in use while I am working. When your child is older they will cherish memories from their childhood, and watching the hundredth episode of Doc McStuffins isn't exactly something that is going to stick with them. Halfway through my time with one of my most beloved nanny families I became a mother and welcomed a beautiful little girl into this world. She is as smart as she is kind, and is just an absolute joy to be around. She grew up with my nanny child, who was 18 months older than her.
