I have been teaching in the state of North Carolina for the better part of the last twenty years in the field of early childhood education. When I took time off it was to have my 4 children and stay at home with them. My oldest is 17 years old and I have 12 year old triplets....yes you read that correctly triplets. I have been a post pardum doula working with mothers of multiples at night helping mom get enough sleep and encouraging breast feeding. As a teacher I have worked in many different teaching environments, Montessori, Reggio Amelia, traditional, and child lead learning. I have worked with special needs children, on the autistic spectrum and those who have downs syndrome. I enjoy art and music as a way to teach, and think children need nurturing and respect from birth. I have my current First aid and CPR certifications. As Read more a post pardum doula I was in the families home helping not only with the new born and new Mom but I also did light chores such as laundry, meal preparation,and making sure all the necessary supplies were stocked for the next day. I loved working with these families. As a teacher I have maintained relationships with "my children" and their families for years....often amazed how quickly they have grown.
