Hello My name is Linda. Thanks for checking out my bio. A bit about me... I am a semi retired business owner. I've lived in the Wilmington area for 10 years(Leland). I have 3 kitties, one grown Son and a 3 year old Grandbaby. In addition to graduating Suma Cum Laude from Binghamton University with a degree in Human Development (Social Science), I also have a Minor in Education. After doing Social Work for 15 years in New York I moved to North Carolina and began working as a private tutor. I worked for both Club Z In Home Tutoring and A Private Tutor for 6 years, as well as having my own students. My expertise is elementary through Middle school with a focus on Reading, Language Arts and History. I successfully did a lot of work in math but don't know Common Core so don't think I would be Read more helpful in that area. After 5 years I recently closed my Fine Art Supply store in Wilmington hoping to find some time to live my life and get back to doing what I love.. working with and caring for people and pets, creating, and teaching. I certainly can just "sit" with your children but would much rather help them to find a love for learning and creating. I can also run errands, help organize, teach Social Media like Facebook and Instagram and take care of your furry friends. I am also kind, honest, patient and reliable. Currently I'm not CPR certified but would be willing to become certified if required. Thanks again for considering me.
