I am an American, born in Shillong, India and raised in Birmingham, England. I have had broad exposure to many different peoples and developed a significant understanding of various cultures. I am conscientious, and a people person; a self-starter who is levelheaded but not afraid of challenges. I take a lot of pride in maintaining a high standard of integrity. I have many years of professional experience under my belt as I was a Sunday School teacher at Calvary Chapel, Birmingham where I taught Sunday School lessons, lead craft and singing activities and played games. I was also a Girls Brigade leader for a year where I assisted local chapter for girls ages 6-10 and was in charge of organizing activities (arts and crafts, games). In addition I was a volunteer teacher over summer in Jyoti Soroat School and Shish Mandir School both in Shillong India, assisting with teaching duties Read more for children of all ages and many with disabilities in the classroom and supervised physical activities. Between my professional experience and babysitting, not included in the list above, I have over 5 years of caregiving experience, which has provided me with the ability to schedule and co-ordinate fun and educational activities for children, while also including arts and crafts and song and dance. I can easily communicate appropriately with kids and understand emotions and thoughts, which they may not be able to express. I carry out household chores effortlessly and I am very flexible allowing me to easily adapt to any situation.
