Hello, my name is Rachel Drye and I am a 20-year-old student from Appalachian State University. I am a current junior studying International Business and Chinese. I am originally from Monroe, North Carolina and I spend my summers at home. I have eight years of experience working with children. I have experience babysitting and teaching children ranging from infants to thirteen years old. In high school, I spent time babysitting children as a job. I also worked teaching summer camps at Discovery Place Charlotte. I was responsible for teaching them and helping them learn through fun and creative science lessons. Last year, I ran a daycare program at Monroe High School for the teacher's children. I was charged with taking care of the children and developing fun and creative lessons and activities for the kids to take part in while exams were going on. I am energetic, creative, responsible, and Read more involved. I love taking care of children and watching them grow and learn. I am a non-smoker and I have a clean driving record as well as an available background check. I'm an outdoors person and I love coming up with fun activities to do outside of the house. Both my parents are teachers so I have awareness and knowledge of teaching children. I have also taught high-poverty students to read at my church's Duke Tip Reading Program. I will be happy to provide references to potential employers.
