I am a recently retired elementary teacher and I have experience as a private tutor and a swimming instructor. I live with my large dog and small cat and am comfortable with most pets. My two children are adults and I have one grandchild. They all live out of this area. I prefer to work with children who are older than four years old. My car is a few years old and I have a good driving record. I would prefer not working on Sundays unless I could still attend church services. My rates are negotiable and would depend on many conditions such as the number of children and/or pets, the amount of driving required, the regularity of the hours, and other factors. I am open to some shopping, food preparation, house and/or yard cleaning. I strive to have respect for your family"s expectations, identify your needs and then do all I can to meet them. I also expect respect for my efforts and time. As a tutor, I have worked with first grade through early high school age students. Most of this work has been with reading and writing. I have taught swimming fundamentals and water safety to many people with range in ages from preschool through adult seniors. It would be a privilege to help your family and you.
