I have being babysitting on and off for the last 11 years. I started young, at the age of 12 babysitting my little sister and cousins while my parents were running errands. I soon began babysitting for families around the neighborhood. In high school, I babysat for two extremely different families. One family had three elementary and middle school aged children. The other family had two infants, a 6-month-old and a 1-year-old. The families' differences allowed me to gain experiences working with a wide range of ages and the routines and activities that go along with them. For two summers in college I was nanny for a family with an infant and toddler at the beach. Throughout the past 11 years I have gained experience taking care of infants to young teenagers. While babysitting I like to keep active and keep the children entertained. I have done many activities from Read more making up games outside to making arts and crafts. I have also had the responsibility of picking up children from the bus stop to taking care of them at the beach or pool, and others in between.
