I started my career in Early Childhood Education after I completed course work at Pensacola State College. While in school, I worked in the toddler room working with two year old children. After that, I became a lead teacher working with two year old children. In my experiences working in a formal educational childcare setting, I always provided additional private childcare for families who needed extra babysitting. While I had extensive experience working in childcare centers, it was providing the private services that made me the most happy. It was then I realized that being a nanny would be a fulfilling and worthwhile career choice that fits my strengths and passion working with both children and their families. I moved to Raleigh in 2005 and became A nanny for 6.5 years for a wonderful family with a newborn and toddler. I was then a nanny for a newborn for 1 Read more year. All of whom I continue to maintain positive relationships with. My current family has employed me since Aug 2012 to care for their 2 children (currently 2.5 years and 8 months old). I am a FT employee who is going PT because the mother is reducing her work hours and is able to spend more time at home. I am looking for a family with flexibility who may need 20-25 hrs per week or possibly join us for a nanny share.
