I worked at a church called God's Promise. Within the church, the pastor created a program called Born With A Purpose. This program welcomed children grade's 2-8. I had the 5th & 6th grade group and I also had the 3rd & 4th grade group. This program consisted of many tutors/teachers that helped the children learn, grow and master their basic math and language arts skills. As a tutor in this program, I got to know many of the students and I was able to figure out how each child responded to certain styles of learning. We also got to teach these children how to play many different new games and we gave them the chance to be creative by making up their own games or by teaching them to cook, play instruments, sing, dance, etc.
