I have worked in the childcare and teaching industry for many years, starting as a babysitter at the age of 13. I worked as a live-in nanny for three summers in New York City in my later teenage years. From there, I lived and worked as an Au pair in Sweden for a year in my early twenties. After returning from Sweden and starting a family of my own, I worked as a nanny for husband and wife doctors in Raleigh for nearly three years. I retired this year after 10 years as a Preschool teacher of 3-year-olds, the last seven years being at Southport Christian School.
