Hello, The first step I strongly recommend anyone looking at my profile to take is to please call my references. I have a considerable amount of experience concerning infants and some experience with toddlers. I have nannied for a 1 year old boy and his 3 year old sister, a single 4 month old little girl, and most recently twin boys. I have been nannying/babysitting the twins from when they were about 7 months to now 13 months old. I am more than equipped to take care of an infant without guidance. I unfortunately can't list everything I know/am aware of but I will try to list what I think is most important. For first time parents, I know how to correctly create and carry out a daily routine for infants and toddlers. This includes everything from feeding times to nap times and I understand how important it is to Read more stick to the schedule. I know how to adjust schedules appropriate for the child's age. For example, I would be able to tell when your child is ready to try their first cereal mixed with breast milk/formula and then move them up to pureed foods along the way and am more than aware of the foods that should be avoided if they are under 1. I know how to handle breast milk and formula ( the dos and donts for both) and know how to feed a child properly to try and prevent the spit ups and uncomfortable gas. I am very detail oriented in recognizing proper growth and developmental steps that should be happening and would be able to recognize if there was an "issue" that needed some attention. I know what your child's temperature should be and factors, such as teething, that could raise it. That ties into the fact that I am a pre med major so anything health related I can usually pick up on pretty fast. I am aware of exercises that can be preformed to strengthen your child as he/she grows both intellectually and physiologically and can apply them to daily routine if wanted. I love keeping my work area clean and am more than happy to preform household chores such as laundry, loading/unloading the dishwasher, taking care of pets and anything else really. Beyond my knowledge, all I have left to offer you and your child/children is my kind, loving, motherly nature. I absolutely love children, I cannot wait to have my own and promise to treat your children as if they were my own.
