My name is Kalee Hathaway. I am a Sophomore at UNCW. I am majoring in Recreation Therapy. I have a significant amount of experience as a nanny/babysitter. For years throughout high school I nannied for one of my neighbors. I was nannying for one child in middle school. I was in charge of taking and picking her up from school, having dinner for her, as well as taking care of their one dog. I have also babysat for my three younger cousins. They are all boys and their ages are 13, 9, and 3. Lastly with being a Recreation Therapy major I plan to work with people with disabilities. Last semester I went to a camp called Victory Junction for a weekend (Friday-Monday) and was assigned to a family with one child having a disability and another child without. The child with the disability was an 11 year old boy Read more with severe Hemophilia who used a wheelchair. I was in charge of caring for him for the entire weekend. I also spent time with his 7 year old sister who I was also in charge of for the majority of the weekend. I thoroughly enjoy spending time with kids and I plan to work with children in the future after I graduate.
