Meet Teresa

My name is Teresa. I have worked as a babysitter in the past. I was a full time nanny for a -year-old child for 2 years and absolutely loved the experience. I enjoyed working with children. It’s a joy to watch them learn and grow. I am very comfortable at working with children preferably older than a year and help them with homework, reading, outdoor activities, playing games, among others. I am a very active person. During my free time I play volleyball, enjoy outdoor activities, practice some yoga and zumba, usually group exercises. Additionally,I worked as an English and Spanish tutor before during college. I am bilingual. I speak English and Spanish fluently and have taught my charges how to speak Spanish in the past. In the past, I was part of the board at Barrientos Scholarship Foundation, a non- profit organization in the Mid West. As a 2012 Read more Barrientos Scholarship Foundation Board Member (BSF), I was able to provide help at the Latino Heritage annual banquet and be part of the volunteer recruitment committee where I trained students to perform different functions such as check-in, greeters, and servers. Serving as a BSF Board member was a valuable experience because I was able to embrace many educational opportunities, challenge myself, learn leadership skills and donate my time to help those who would benefit more than keeping for myself.
