I am the mother of 3 bright and beautiful grown children. My adult life has revolved around children in one way or another for about 30 years. I absolutely love children and I'm told by other parents that their children are drawn to my nurturing demeanor. I was a babysitter at a gym in Salem, NH for 12 years, taking care of 6 weeks to kindergarten age children, teaching them in various groups of crafts, gym activities, outdoor play and indoor swimming. I worked for 3 years for a middle school as a special education assistant (para-professional). I worked one-on-one with an autistic student, coordinating communication between him, his teachers and his parents. I also worked transitioning that student into mainstream classrooms and social situations, with great success during my two years with him. I was a "stay-at-home" mother during non-school hours and am very familiar with driving to and Read more from activities and etc. My children and their friends seemed to most often gather at my house, yard and/or minivan, which I loved. I continually volunteered, and some years, I was a room mother at their schools. I'm comfortable with the differing needs of children of all ages.
