Hello, my name is Shannon Hueber. I am a mother of four; 2 adult children and two younger children. I have been married for over 25 years. All my working experience has been with children in one form or another. I ran a small day care service in my home so that I could stay home with my two older ones, when they were little. I went to school and received my Master’s in Education and worked as a Special Education Teacher, Reading specialist. I worked with children who were years behind in their reading levels or had dyslexia. I have also worked as a Special education Advocate, helping parents get their children in the right schools or programs, to help their children in their own education. I presently am a Girl Scout Troop leader of both Brownies and Juniors. I am looking to work two to three days a Read more week. I was recently let go due to a divorce situation but had been working with that family for almost two years. That family had a five, four and now a one year old. I am someone who is very flexible, responsible and trustworthy. I love to take the kids on walks, to the park or visit the library. I also like to read with them as well as crafts. I am also looking to be able to take my two younger children with me when school is not in session. I can give plenty of references in regards to this arrangement as my girls are well mannered and behaved. Shannon watched my baby while I was on a wait list for day care. As this is my first child I was nervous about hiring help but she put my worries at ease. She is a patient, calm, happy, engaged caregiver. She did a variety of activities with the baby - reading, tummy time/standing time, walks in the stroller, and feeding solids as we started introducing them. She's been very flexible with scheduling; we needed to change her days when my husband's work schedule shifted, and she has been able to extend daily hours when I traveled out of town for work. Would hire again!

Shannon was hired to pick my daughter up from school and care for her until I got home from work. She was very flexible and often available last minute for unexpected things. She was excellent at keeping my daughter entertained without the use of electronics! They would often go outside to play, do crafts or play with her toys. My daughter loved having her as a sitter. I felt very comfortable knowing that Shannon was caring for my daughter. Shannon was also very patient with my daughter, who can be a little hard to handle. She has so much experience with children that I actually learned a few things from her! I would highly recommend Shannon as a sitter.
