Hello! My name is Ashley Hickey and I am 18 years old. I finished my freshman year of college in May of 2015 at Radford University in Virginia. After my first year, I still wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do so I've decided to take the fall semester of 2015 off and then take classes at a community college in the spring of 2016. I am a waitress at the York Harbor Reading Room in York, ME. I was a junior counselor for a kid's summer camp from the ages 4-10 the summer I was going into my freshman year of high school. To be able to be a counselor, I had to take a six hour course about CPR (we practiced on dummies and took a test,) and learned how to handle a situation where a child got hurt, broke a bone, and so on. I had Read more such a great time being with the kids and playing games and doing crafts with them. I also babysat my cheer coaches twins for a couple of years. The best feeling is seeing the smile on a child's face. I am a kid at heart so it is easy for me to relate to and understand them. I would also love to take them on trips, the beach, park, bowling, and fun places like that! I hope I will be a good fit for your family. :-)
