Children are my passion, and have been for since I was young. I have worked in a few different childcare settings. I was employed for 4 and a half years at an in home daycare, 6+ months at a daycare facility and about 2 and a half years a nanny. Recently, I have worked as a substitute teacher and an assistant for the after school program. Over the years I have been given the opportunity to work with all ages from a day old to 10 years. Being a nanny and working in the childcare field has opened me to new ideas and philosophies on dealing with a misbehaving child or one who likes an excessive amount of attention, a child who is used to adults and not been socialized with children of their own age. I have taken this and used it in my everyday work life as a nanny. Growing Read more over the years to become more patient and attentive to special needs children might have. Even more now in my middle 20's have I realized that children impact my adult life more than most adults. Learning from children has been a great part of my life.
