I truly believe that children can teach us more than we can teach them. Patience and kindness seem to come naturally to them and that;s why I love working with children. Ever since middle school I have worked with children in some way, including being a camp counselor for 4-5 year olds, working with special needs children and adults through Special Olympics and therapeutic horseback riding, and volunteering at the local hospital in the Child Development Center. Along with typically developed children, I will always have a special place in my heart for those with disabilities whether they are gognitive, developmental, or physical. For this reason, I currently attend the University of Scranton majoring in Occupational Therapy and minoring in Counseling and Human Services. Outside of academics, I play for the D3 volleyball team and I ride horses with the club IHSA equestrian team. I love staying active and being Read more creative, and I love pets too!
