First and foremost I would love to say that I am a 23 year old Missouri native who has just recently moved to the Portland area; I currently reside in Hillsboro. Before moving I was extremely lucky in receiving the opportunity to nanny twin boys (age 5) and occasionally their cousin (age 4) for a little over a year. My nanny duties consisted of light housekeeping, planning of daily activities, bedtime preparations and tucking in, meal preparations, and operate feeding tube/monitoring G-tube: one of the twins has Cerebrial Palsy. That also led to me assisting with his everyday at-home physical therapy. When it came to planning activities some of my favorites consisted of mini hikes and bike rides, trips to the zoo, park dates, and anything involving water in the summer time. If the child(ren) are old enough I would also enjoy taking them out to museums, plays, and even Read more children's days at libraries! I believe having fun is a crucial developmental tribute to a child's mind, so anytime I can make a fun experience also educational is a huge bonus! Aside from being a nanny, I have been picking up babysitting gigs for as long as I can remember; not to mention the fact that I have eight(!) younger siblings. All of whichI have helped care for. I am comfortable caring for up to four children at once, varying at any age. As of now I do not have any live-in nanny experience but am more than willing if the opportunity presents itself. I had done several extended overnight stays at a previous nanny gig while their mom had to be away on business. If you feel most comfortable, I am also willing to re-certify myself in CPR.
