Hi! I’m Danielle, and I’ve been babysitting / acting as a “mommy’s helper” since I was around 8 years old. While I spend a lot of time down the shore during the summer, I live full-time in Short Hills. I am both lifeguard and CPR certified. For 7 summers, I was a lifeguard, swim instructor, swim team coach, camp counselor, and occasional nanny/babysitter for kids of all ages, and I have experience with kids of all ages. I have experience watching just one child at once, and I’ve also had to be responsible for 10+ children at once all under my care. Additionally, I’ve spent many years working with special needs children. I am in the process of completing a degree in Strategic Communications and Rhetoric, and I find that what I’ve learned in this field can be extremely helpful in working with children, especially difficult children. After getting my Read more degree, I plan on attending graduate school to get a Masters degree in teaching. I graduated at the top of my class at Millburn High School, and at the University of Wisconsin, I have made the dean’s list several semesters. I am extremely proficient in helping children with school work and especially in learning to read, as I received a perfect score on my ACT reading portion — in other words, I’m a total nerd who loves reading and homework, and I’m proud of it! Equally as important, however, is that I absolutely love just having fun with kids and giving them the best babysitting experience possible, while still staying safe and respectful of everyone and following all household rules and expectations.
