Hi! My name is Ashley! I have a unique background, with a Master's degree in clinical psychology. For the past two and a half years, I have been working as a therapist for a non-profit facility. However, I have always loved and enjoyed playing, caring, and learning with children, and I hope to return to that joy! I have never worked as a formal nanny, but have ample experience caring for young children. I worked as a preschool teacher through a program at my former high school. It was an early education program designed to teach young people about child development, leadership, and teaching skills. I taught a class of 8-12 four year old students. I prepared their lesson plans, and engaged with them constantly as we learned about the world together. I've also tutored children with regards to their academics, and have given music lessons. As a graduate student, Read more I received graduate education and training in child development. And I am very sensitive to the varying and changing needs of every child. I have experience sitting for different families as I continued my education through high school/college, and eventually graduate school. I've primarily worked with children ages 1-7. I have a clean driving record, and am certified in first aid/Heimlich/CPR. I am excellent in the kitchen, and have also completed pastry school. I enjoy fun and creative recipes with an emphasis on healthy eating that tastes great! I have experience with changing diapers, assisting with potty training, cooking and cleaning for children, doing crafts, and going on excursions to parks and other fun attractions. I am energetic and enthusiastic about pretty much everything. In my spare time I am an avid hiker and outdoor enthusiast, cook, musician, and lover of live music. I am a healthy, non-smoker, and great with animals as well.
