Hi! I'm Emma! I'm a current sophomore at the University of Pittsburgh, studying to become a Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist. I absolutely LOVE working with kids. I have worked for 4 years as a swim lesson instructor at The Peddie School, with kids ages 3-12. I am lifeguard and CPR certified. I have also been a very active babysitter for all of my teenage life. At school, I work with a program called Pitt Kids, where I give swim lessons to kids with learning disabilities. I am a very active and energetic person willing to work hard to create the best environment for children. I do have my own car and am a very safe driver. I am looking for a summer nanny job starting end of April until late August. References available. I would like to address why SitterCity has not given me a badge for motor vehicle safety. Read more Three years ago (a month after I received my driver’s license), I scratched the bumper of a parked car, pulling out of a parking space. Because there was no driver in the other car, I called the police and reported the incident. There is an accident report on file. I have never been involved in any other type of accident, nor have I ever received a ticket, or points deducted from my license. I can supply a motor vehicle report to show that my license is, and always has been, in good standing. Unfortunately, the background check done by SitterCity does not distinguish between minor incidents, such as this, and reckless driving. I am a safe driver.
