I am a 21-year-old New Jersey native who recently moved to Nashville to pursue songwriting! Prior to my move, I have had a many experiences watching children and even have had the opportunity to teach them music lessons. My experience as a mentor started when I was 18, as a freshman in college. I had babysat before, but it was different because I was hired as a Musical Instructor at a pre school called Kidville. My responsibilities included writing daily lessons for every class, while teaching them basic songs on the piano. Through that experience I was able to watch fifteen to twenty four and five year olds. When I went home for the summer, I met two families that I still babysit to this day. Both families have 3-4 children and their ages range from 5-10. I went away with the families this past summer when one of the Read more moms was getting married and needed me to help. During that 12 day period I was taking care of 7 children! It was a wonderful experience to be in a new place with them. It is not "work" to me when I spend time with the kids. I love to get to know them and find out what their interests are.
