I was working in the corporate office world of faxes and emails and deadlines and meetings etc. And as rewarding as that is and as well as I performed, I want to get back to the enjoyable things in life. The day to day beauty that is seen through a childs eye. The first time they speak, that hug that says "thank you, you make a difference" Its not something you can get in the corporate office. Days turned to years and I found the one thing I love is making a difference, when i go home and i have helped a customer or an associate I feel like Ive had a complete day. I find myself thinking about when I was a preschool teachers aide for 4 years and I miss it. I just miss the simplicity of coloring, abc's and 123's, however a classroom setting doesnt allow you Read more to have a one on one with the children and really see how your smile and your actions make a difference, so I went into being a nanny. Ive been watching my brothers 3 kids on weekends, but now they are older and they are off on play dates and video games. I do have 1071 hours of Early Childcare Education back in High School, which led me to my first job at The Enchanted Garden preschool in Hawthorne for 4 years. I decided to seek out other positions to see what Im good at, and now that my daughter is grown and ive worked over 20 years in the office, I want to get back to doing full-time what I love doing part-time. i have always been available to watch friends, co-wokers and neighborhood kids during weekends and nights and now i am a full time nanny. I can work any hours. I have always taken the bus to work, so If the child is school age I prefer to work with a family in walking distance of the school.
