Hello, I have been a professional nanny for 23 years, specializing in caring for children age 0 to 6 and have experience with school-age children as well. I have cared for 4 sets of twins and numerous newborns and infants (adore that first year!). I'm looking for a long-term position with a family with a new baby. My emphasis is on caring for the whole child; not just physical but emotional, social, and intellectual needs and development as well. I focus on communication, self-awareness, kindness, self-esteem, creative problem solving, and manners. Children learn best through play and imitation. I try to model the behavior I expect and foster an environment of play, love, and consistency. I love to read aloud and incorporate song, movement, and rhymes in my daily caregiving. I also enjoy doing age-appropriate art, craft, and cooking activities with my charges. I like to be outside with the Read more kids in good weather i.e: backyard, playground, nature walks, park, etc. I enjoy going on outings to the zoo, museums, children's concerts, indoor play spaces, and other age-appropriate venues. I love taking babies and children to library story times and any classes - music, gym, swim, etc. In addition to preparing and feeding bottles and meals, diapering, bathing, dressing, and other daily care, I will do everything in the household related to the child: children's laundry, children's bottles and dishes, keeping toys and living areas clean and tidy, keeping records of daily activities, mending, etc. I will make homemade organic babyfood if desired, and have no problem washing cloth diapers. I love pets and am happy to take the family dog along on walks.
