Hi Parents! My name is Jessica-Rae and I am 26 years old. I am a first time mom to my now 3 month old little girl, Delilah, but I am very experienced in taking care of children of all ages. A little about myself.... I first began babysitting my baby cousin in the summer at 11 years old. Each summer I began to baby sit for more family, friends and neighbors until their word of mouth spread about me. I've done everything from babysitting, nannying, housesitting, petsitting - you name it! My love for working with children grew in college when I majored in Elementary Education. Ultimately, I transferred colleges and ended up obtaining my degree in another field, but I stayed close to my community by coaching cheerleading, teaching CCD, and substitute teaching at the local elementary school. My favorite experience working with children has to be when I Read more was a nanny for a 7 year old girl for 2.5 years. I would attend her school functions when her dad was unable to and sometimes had her for up to a week at a time due to her dad's crazy work schedule. Eventually her dad remarried and they moved a few hours away to live happily ever after. Even to this day, I still keep in touch with her as I considered her a part of my family! I took a break from babysitting after graduating college to enter the real world workforce. I obtained a job at Covenant House in Atlantic City, a homeless youth shelter for 18-21 year olds. I LOVED my job, especially the kids and the babies!! I worked there for 3 years until I went out on maternity leave. Fast forward 3 months and I have been graciously given the opportunity to stay at home with my daughter while my husband works. I am very thankful for this opportunity but boy, am I BORED!! I would love to help provide a trustworthy child care provider for a local family. I prefer day hours right now because I need to be able to put my daughter to bed, but I am hoping this will change once she gets a little older. My 3 month old "out and about" girl will be with me, but hopefully you won't mind!
