My name is Piya and I'm from Thailand. I can speak Thai and English fluently. I recently just graduated from Nursing Program at County College of Morris. Even though I am on an F-1 visa, I have applied for the optional practical training, which allows me to work in the U.S. I am CPR for health care provider certified, good with kids, older adults and pets. Before becoming a student, I was a participant of the Au Pair program, which is a cultural exchange program that allows me to live with American family and take care of the family's children. I took care of two school-age boys at the time. My duties were getting them ready to school, helping them organizing their room, helping them with homework, getting them ready for activities, and making them dinner. I made dinner for the mom and dad as well because I love cooking. Read more I also took care of their two dogs while family was away during weekdays or when they were on vacation. Moreover, while I was obtaining the bachelor of science, major in microbiology in my home country, I was a tutor for school-grade children. During the nursing school, I had an opportunity to take care of mostly older adults while I was in clinical, and I love interacting with older patients. They have taught me so much, and I am looking forward to learn more from them.
