Hello! My name is Lauren, I am new to South Philly, having relocated from Brooklyn. I am a NY State Certified School Psychologist at a transition school for young adults with special needs. Prior, I was a psych practicum student at a Brooklyn elementary school. I am trained in counseling, behavior management, cognitive, academic, and social/emotional interventions. I am not licensed to practice psychology privately and may only be hired as a caregiver, but I would bring these unique skills with me. I am available for summer babysitting or as a nanny from July 1- August 31st. A little about me: I am the oldest of 3 girls and fall somewhere in the middle of the 15 grandchildren. I spent all of my youth caring for and assisting with younger siblings, cousins, and friends of the family. I provided before and after school care for children all throughout my undergraduate Read more studies and was a youth field hockey coach for the United States Field Hockey Association for 7 years. I absolutely love spending time with kids, helping with homework, planning fun daytime trips and activities, cooking, and overall being supportive. I spent 3 years of graduate school working for two families in NYC. One on the Upper West Side; I met their son when he was 18 months old. He is 4 now and we are still very close. The other family was located in Brooklyn. They have 2 boys, one is 5 and the other is 3. Depending on the day, I provided early morning and school drop-off services, after-school pickup, or making dinner and doing the bedtime routine. I am great with light housekeeping, after-school snacks, and dinner preparation. I would be happy to take a pet out for a spin around the block. I have a lot of positive energy to share and would jump at the opportunity to become part of your team! References upon request.
