Dear Sir or Madam: I am from the diaspora with parents that travelled extensively for work; thus an education in Europe (Belgium) and West Africa (Senegal) In 1986, I was hired by JP Morgan but left after 4 years to follow my husband who was a student pilot in Florida. Because of the political conflicts in his home country, my husband lost his scholarship, which forced us to move to New York to find work. I got a job as an Estate Manager for the Defries family in Long Island and then in Virginia for 5 years; which ended when the family moved to South Africa. We came back to New York where I worked for Murphy Productions for 5 years. I left that job for a less strenuous job when I got pregnant from my son. I got a job as a legal assistant in the Lycee Francais of Read more New York. When my son was born, we decided to get closer to the family, so we left for France where I found a job at the American Embassy as a Payroll Manager. I lost my job after September 11 because all payroll processing were moved to Charleston North Carolina. We moved again closer to my husband’s family in Belgium, where I found a job at Thalys International (The railroad company) for 5 years. We came back in the States after we got the Green Card (My bother in Law sponsored my husband) but mostly because we wanted our son to grow up in his country. A friend found me a job in LA as an Estate Manager for a French-American family. I worked 5 years for them until they relocated to France. So here I am in NYC looking for a job!
