I have babysat for my younger siblings, cousins, and family friends' children. The ages vary from 2-16. Tasks that I have been responsible for include: helped get them ready to begin their school day. picking up children from school and after school activities, taking them to their sport activities, I have prepared and created meals, I have gone healthy grocery shopping, helped children with their hygiene like brushing their teeth, organized play dates, played with the children myself indoors or taken them to the park, helped them with their homework, taken them to the library and read to them, worked on writing/science projects, and I have organized dancing parties as well. Previously, I also took care of my 1-year-old cousin until she was 7. This meant helping to groom her (change diapers, bathe, feed), help with school work, play with, red to help teach to read, encourage her creative imagination, Read more arrange play dates, help prepare for bedtime. I also helped raise my younger brother from age 3-13, including bathing, changing diapers, feeding, helping with homework, teaching him to read, reading to him, taking him to school, picking him up, preparing him for bedtime. I have enjoyed every bit of what I've had the opportunity to do. I am careful to make sure that I give these children the best opportunity to live. I am a Social Worker at heart, and by nature I am a helper. I want children to grow up in a safe environment, one that affords them every opportunity available to them. I want to be a resource for them and aid them toward success. I love that this is my job!
