My name is Taylor and I've been taking care of children for over ten years. I currently live in Northern New Jersey, and I'm looking for a live-in position in New York City or Brooklyn. I have a Visual Arts degree and I enjoy spending time with kids that like to be creative in any medium; getting intense with legos, doing a Saturday kid's program at the Met or MoMA, making paintings, writing stories, etc. I'm also a life-long skiier - good for families that need a babysitter/instructor on ski vacations. At my past positions, I encouraged time spent away from the TV and instead involved in a project or adventure. Hire me and your kids will be too worn out to fight bedtime! We had fun taking a kite to the park, playing basketball, and making an original comic book starring the family dog! Previous to that, I worked as a live-in nanny at Cape Cod for two girls, aged 10 and 12. I delivered them to Science Camp, cooked meals, supervised violin practice, and took them to the beach. That fall, I taught a weekly formal art class for the older girl's soccer team. I modeled my lessons on a college art class, introducing the girls to using a drawing board, working from a live model, and "drawing in space" with flexible wire. I feel I could be a good fit for an active family who values art and culture. I'm open to working with any age and any number of children. I've done it all!
