I love children! I enjoy watching them grow, learn, and discover. I love their honesty and simplicity. Children bring sunshine wherever they are, and are precious gifts. I have cared for children in various situations and life experiences. I began babysitting at a young age, and have many years of experience caring for infants, children, multiple children, and children with special needs (including cerebral palsy, autism, & premature infants). My experience includes working as a postpartum doula, where I assisted mothers in their homes after the birth of their babies; I also was a labor doula and midwifery assistant and a great deal of my experience is with newborns. I spent time assisting an Amish midwife, where my responsibilities were primarily newborn care, in addition to assisting in the births. I also volunteered in a hospital in the newborn nursery, spending time with new moms (which I also love) and Read more helping with the care of the babies. I've worked in a daycare center in the infant room as well. I am also the mother of three children ages 7, 6, and 18 months. I am specifically looking for a situation where I could bring my 18-month-old daughter with me to your home. She is very sweet and gentle, loves other babies, & could be a playmate for your child/children. I have references available if you are interested, and I'm always willing to meet in person to answer any questions and to get to know one another better. :) I have a medical background, and have been previously trained and certified in first aid and CPR.
