My name is Melinda and I'm 26 years old. I have 10+ years of experience in childcare and I've been a full time (60+ hours per week) nanny and house manager for the past 3 years. I'm no longer with my most recent family because I'm a new mom! I'm looking for something part time whether its a few hours a day or a few times a week. I see myself filling a role of a house manager/personal assistant easily in addition to taking care of children. I can take initiative and get those chores and errands done that you don't have time for! I'm also interested in a flexible nanny position if that suits your situation better. I grew up in North Edison and moved to Rahway a few years ago. I am currently obtaining a degree in public relations. I have always helped out at our church's nursery and Sunday school and have been babysitting since I was able to. I love arts and crafts and I know how to keep children entertained! I remember what it was like to have a fun babysitter as a child and I love to take my great experiences and pass them on. I also know what it is to have patience with children and I know things are not always easy. I believe in positive reinforcement and if possible, talking things out with the children. I can adapt to any kind of discipline techniques that parents would like me to use. I have a wide range of experiences with child care from babysitting, to nannying to child daycare teacher. I recently interviewed Melinda and although we did not select her due to rehiring a past nanny, I would definitely recommend interviewing/selecting her. Melinda had a wonderful personality, was well spoken and professional. Without hesitation, we would have hired her. In fact, we plan to ask her to babysit on weekends. I thought it was important to write this review because I am aware of the difficulties in finding a trustworthy, well rounded person. I believe she will make a family feel truly safe and content.
