To Whom This May Concern, Hello, my name is Lillian, or Lily, my background begins with raising 3 children of my own; twin boys and one girl. Due to dramatic shifts in the economy, I decided to pursue a career in the medical field. I enjoyed working in this field because of the constant contact with patients and being able to develop relationships with those in need. When my daughter had her first child, I was needed on a consistent basis to help with after school activities and raising her due to my daughter’s unpredictable work schedule. Being able to help raise my granddaughter made me realize that I was ready for yet another change in my career; becoming a nanny. Within the past year, I made the choice to leave my career in the medical field and fulfil my dream of becoming a nanny/babysitter. I landed my first job Read more this August as a live-in Nanny in the Hamptons (NY). This family had 4-year-old twins, a boy and a girl. I was responsible for caring for these children on a constant basis. My duties included cooking (for family and friends), cleaning the house, doing laundry, taking the children to different events and activities, as well as food shopping for the house. I enjoy having these responsibilities because it keeps my mind sharp and being active is always beneficial. I currently reside in New Jersey with my family, but I grew up in New York. I am extremely familiar with the city, due to my early life exposure and the fact that my daughter and her family have lived there for the past 20 years. Another advantage of hiring me to work for your family, I am bilingual. I grew up in a Spanish speaking household, and fluent in both Spanish and English. Being able to speak two languages has its rewards and I think it can benefit children; being exposed to a different language at a young age is wonderful. I am looking for a part-time or full-time position; around 15-25 hours per week, although this number is very flexible. I am willing to travel into the city for work. I am highly dependable for both morning and afternoons hours, and I able to travel anywhere if needed (Domestic, and International).
