I have worked with children in some capacity since the age of 15. I started babysitting for family and working as a Preschool counselor at a summer day camp. When I was 18, I took over a nanny job for a friend of mine that could no longer work. I worked with a brother and sister (3 and 5 years old). I really enjoyed this experience and came to love those children. I also have years of experience as a day care teacher working with all age ranges from infants through Pre-K. I recently received my Certificate from the state of New Jersey in Elementary teaching as well as Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD). Furthermore, I have subbed in Elementary and Middle School classrooms and have also worked as a paraprofessional with students with Autism and other special needs. Lastly, I worked for UMDNJ as a Mental Health Specialist Read more for two years with children between the ages of 5 and 11 that had emotional/behavioral disabilities. When it comes to working with children, my experience is varied and well-rounded. I love helping children grow and learn.
