Hi there!! Thank you so much for taking the time to review my materials. A little about me: I have loved kids ever since I WAS one. My mom used to joke that I would always want to go over to my friend’s houses to play with their younger brothers and sisters in ADDITION to them! Back in 2000, a couple of years after graduating high school, I decided that I wanted to be a nanny. After a brief stint in Switzerland (with 5 kids aged 3 months-8 years), I ended up in New Jersey with an amazing family (with 2 kids aged 3 moths and 4 years), with whom I am still very close with to this day. For both families, duties included: age appropriate activities (reading, playing, games, arts and crafts, outdoor activities, trips to library, zoo, parks, aquariums), driving older ones to school and activites, preparing nutritious Read more meals, cleanliness of house and childrens laundry, and in the Swiss house I took care of the kids while the parents were out of town over an extended weekend. At the "ripe" age of 21, I decided that I should really try a corporate “career”, and I moved back to California, and got a job in the entertainment industry. The whole time I was dealing with actors, agents and managers (oh my!) my love for kids never waned. Though I left the corporate world 2 years ago to try out freelance casting, I realized that I really am not meant for that world anymore and I am taking a leap of faith to get back to something I truly love, and I also hope to get my teaching credentials in the future. So though it has been a number of years since I was a full-fledged nanny, I am so excited to be returning. I will be re-certifying (regardless of if it is a requirement) in infant, child and adult CPR before joining your family. Some fast facts: -Love to help kids grow and learn through activities that are age appropriate. Arts and crafts, books, games, nature walks, outings to zoos, library, museums, classes, etc. are all at the top of my list. Really creative, patient, self-starter and well rounded person who doesn't need her hand held to be a good nanny. -Strong swimmer, I was on swim team as a teenager and then taught swim lessons for 2 summers at the local YMCA. -Current passport and can travel domestically or internationally and wouldn't complain a bit about it. ;-) -Good with big families, infants and multiples.
