Dear Families of Sittercity, My name is Chana Davidson and I hope I can be selected to help in a major way with your family. I am eager to meet a family where I can show my competency along with my experience, so that we may be successful on a long term basis. During my tenure at a University, I studied Psychology and Early Elementary Education. Through my school teaching and counseling experiences, I have had the opportunity to utilize my education in developmental guidance in working with students, parents, teachers, and administrators as part of a collaborative team. I have been working with children and families for more than 10 years. From summer camp counseling, to after school programs, to practicum experiences in college and I have found working with children to be an extremely educational and rewarding experience. A teamwork attitude, exceptional organizational and time management skills, patience, Read more and naturalness for connecting with people gave me the edge I needed to be successful at working in after school programs implementing educational curriculum and at Boys and Girls Club preparing High School students for college and real world experiences. As a guidance counselor, I am a firm believer in advocating for students, and creating a community atmosphere where children can learn and grow in a supportive environment. For the past three years, I have furthered my teaching and counseling experience by serving as a tutor/mentor to several young women who may have felt they have lost their way in society. Our activities revolve around specific goals we would like to accomplish through our mentor match. I am now a mother of a 2-year-old boy who is the love of my life. He is very smart, independent, and playful. I enjoy influencing him with music, arts, and sports. I do not mind getting dirty all while learning and having fun. My main goal is to provide a safe, educational, friendly and fun space to learn and grow. Children are never too young and can do more than we usually think. I am passionate about my work in which I have been working with children since the age of 13. I can assure you trust, dedication, and success. I have many references to prove my dedication, hard work, and love.
