My name is Rachel & I am 28 years old. I live in Voorhees, NJ. I have an associates in Liberal Arts & I am continuing my education through Wilmington in Behavorial Science. I have been a step-mom for the last 3 years - about a year ago my step-daughter moved in with us full-time. Evangeline (Evan) is 9 & the most important thing in my life. She does see her mother about twice a month, but her father & I do the majority of the parenting. I spend most of my time getting her to and from school, doing homework & making sure she is cared for in general. She has given me the experience I need to care for other children. I also care for my niece (8) & nephew (3) frequently & have done so since they were babies. I currently work part-time with TD Bank's call Read more center & will be going back to school (mostly online) starting in March. Prior to Evan living with us full-time I was full-time employee, however, I cut my hours back in order to make sure she is receiving the care she needs. I would like to start concentrating on school & caring for my step-daughter over the summer so she is with us the majority of the time & not in a child care program. With this said, I am hoping to find steady work as a babysitter/nanny so that I can leave TD & be able to take Evan with me while working. Evan is very well behaved & also loves kids herself. While she was living with her mother, she was a huge part of aiding her mother in raising her 3 younger brothers. While I will be the caregiver, Evan will have no problem becoming friends with your children. I am very comfortable in the kitchen so any meals you want provided for your children will not be an issue. I also love to bake & would love to share that with your children! I have a license & a car so I will be able to get your children to & from their activities as well. If your children aren't involved in activities, no problem, I will create activities to keep them occupied! Twice a year I try & get all of our friends together & their kids for a holiday project. We usually have a group of 4-8 kids so I am comfortable with large groups of children. I am comfortable working from your home or from my own. While I don't have a lot of "official" experience, I am a mom & understand what it takes to care for a child every day.
