I am a certified nursing assistant. I have been a CNA for 3 years. I am from a big family of which I am the oldest. Therefore I was the babysitter. I watched my second cousins from the time I was 14 and other kids as well. I really enjoy caring for others of all ages. Especially the young ones. Babysitting my nieces and nephews were some of the funnest things I got to do as a teenager. It's my passion and I am really good at it. I recently decided I wanted to explore other job areas before continuing my nursing degree. I've always wanted to attend medical school. Although I still haven't quite found which area would be best for me. I've been applying for nanny and babysitting positions to determine if pediatrics is the direction I would like to go. Also to give me a job that Read more will give me a little income while I continue my prerecquisits for college. All of my courses for next semester are online and won't interfere with my work. I have a 2014 Nissan Sentra that I have had for a year. It's never gave me a single problem. I don't mind traveling. Just a little bit you might want to know about me I do live in Texico. I am 20 years old I'll be 21 next month. I went through Farwell care and rehab to get my CNA. Being a CNA is a hard and very rewarding job just like childcare. Except when caring for someone in geriatrics you become family to your residents. Most the time you're the only one that they see everyday. They depend on you to show up and do your job in a comfortable timely fashion and sometime not everyone you care for is in a good mood. I really wanted to get my CNA because I moved in with my grandma and my great grandma was not in the best of health and my grandma was still working. I wanted to stay at home with my great grandma and take care of her while my grandma was gone. I worked graveyards in Farwell that way my grandma would be home while I was gone and I would be home while she was gone. I did that until last year my grandma retired and had a gallbladder attack. My great grandma moved into the retirement ranch in Clovis because she felt like I needed to work more with my grandmother. My grandma is doing better and doesn't need my help and more. She encourages me to continue my education because I will one day make a wonderful healthcare professional. I hope by finding a job in this career field it will do just that. Help me finally make a decision know what area of healthcare I would like to pursue. I hope to hear from someone soon thank you
