My name is Natalie, I am 25 years old. Let me start off by telling you a little bit about myself. I have worked with children for the past 10 years from newborns to students in high school. I started off as a TA in a kindergarten classroom. Following that I became employed with the YMCA child care program where I started off as a counselor and got promoted to a leader position. With my time at the Y, I worked as a summer camp counselor, preschool teacher and school age after school counselor. Addition to working at the Y, I joined Care.com and have worked with many families through that agency! My main goal when working with children is keeping them safe and healthy! I follow the "Activating America" motto which means I aim to gear all children towards a healthy and active lifestyle. I provide different hands on Read more activities I do with children such as veggie and fruit art activities, healthy cooking, practicing motor skills, singing and reading. I do practice sign language with children since I do consider it one of my personal hobbies! I do not believe a child should sit in front of a TV all day, instead I love to take children out for walks, take them to the park, plan a picnic, anything that can get them out in the fresh air and staying active. I do have experience working with children who have ADD, ADHD, learning disabilities, cerebral palsy and down syndrome. I am CPR and first aid certified and also trained in water safety!
