I've been taking care of newborns, babies as a nanny and as "baby nurse" for fourteen years. I'm a certified Newborn Care Specialist (NCS). CPR and First Aid certified by the Red Cross. TDAP, flu, Covid vaccinated with booster (in October), with PROOF. Fluent in Spanish. Work history: ~ I've been working since 2008 caring for newborns and babies as a day time nanny, full and part time, live in and live out and night shift. ~ I’ve worked as Newborn Care Specialist ("baby-nurse") independently and for the Frances Stewart agency in day shifts, night shifts and also both, starting right when the baby comes home from the hospital. ~ Last job: February 2021- August 202. Baby nurse since baby was born ~ In both cases, as "baby nurse" and nanny, I fed and change the babies, put them down for naps, entertain them with music I bring with me, Read more singing and using their toys as instruments, motivate them to play, crawl, mainly have fun! ~ I also establish a schedule and a routine, specially sleep training them for night and day, necessary for the baby/s healthy sleep (longer than 45 minutes nap) because while they sleep is when their brain develops ~ I keep their toys and clothes in order, wash and prepare bottles (formula/breast milk),etc. ~ I handle colic and crying spells ~ I do baby’s laundry if there is a washing machine in the apartment/house, and (so sorry), I don’t do light housekeeping, my job is the baby ~ I’ve taken care of several set of multiples by myself and I had tons of fun doing it :) ~ I make sure the babies and I, both have fun, play and laugh a lot, otherwise I wouldn’t be doing this job A FEW IMPORTANT ITEMS: - I'm CPR/first aid certified by Red Cross. - I have several references, some written and some you can call (contacts after interview, personal or phone call) - I've studied two years of Communications in College back in my country of origin, Uruguay. - I'm fluent in English and Spanish. - I keep a log with daily schedule (feedings, naps, etc) - Beside the vaccines, I’m very, very aware of all measures to prevent coronavirus spread even if parents and I are vaccinated. - I live in Astoria.
